Oruçbeyli

Oruçbeyli village got its name from Oruç Bey, who lived here during the Ottoman period. The history of the village is unknown. According to some rumors, it has an extensive history until the 1700s. The person called Oruç Bey is a gentleman who owns a farm. His wife floods and dies. Then he takes his head and goes. The property belongs to the peasant. The name of the village comes from there. (It is the narration of the elders, there is no exact accuracy)

It is 30 km from Süleymanpaşa. The economy of a village depends on agriculture and husbandry. There is a primary school in the village, but since it is not used, bussed education is used. The village has drinking water and sewerage network. There is no PTT branch or PTT agency. There is no health centers and health posts. The road that provides access to the village is asphalt and there is electricity and fixed telephone in the village. The population of 2019 is 136 people. After Tekirdağ gained the metropolitan status on December 6, 2012, all villages turned into neighborhoods.
